One of the most important signifiers of the level of assimilation of an individual in another country is language. Language is a material, a form that transforms and changes shape over time. I am interested in semiotics and sound patterns of different languages and their synthesis in cross-cultural communication. In this piece, I have prerecorded voices of people from different countries talking about their process of assimilation in US. These voices are projected into the sphere by a speaker and then are mixing with my own voice as I speak into the sphere about my process of assimilation into the sphere.
