This ephemeral painting was created on Utahs Bonneville Salt Flats after a rainstorm in which the entire area was flooded by approximately three inches of water. This piece was done by painting a variety of pillows and intentionally arranging them together only to be set adrift in the ethereal landscape. The slight breeze slowly pushed each pillow away from the group, dispersing them across the flats. The colorful pillows stand out against the cold grey scene as they float across this temporary lake. Over time the intentional composition of this painting is replaced by the composition and will of nature.
